If you've checked the Classical Music Calendar lately you probably noticed it isn't updated for some of the groups. I have good news! Not only will 2010 start with an updated calendar, but I'll be using a significantly improved calendar format. I think you'll find it easier to read and navigate. I'll be able to add more detailed information. Unlike the old calendar this one does not have to query a database, so it should be much more responsive. So far I've only entered events for January and February. Check it out at Classical Music Calendar.

The Saltarelli String Orchestra will perform a concert of seasonal selections on Monday, December 14 at 7:30 pm. The free concert will include classics by Corelli and Tchaikovsky as well as sing-alongs featuring all of your favorite Christmas carols. The location is the First Mexican Baptist Church, 201 Meredith, San Antonio.

The concert will be repeated on Wednesday, December 16 at 7:30 pm at the historic San Fernando Cathedral in downtown San Antonio.

More Christmas cheer can be found at the Boerne Concert Band's Christmas Concert. It will be Friday, December 18 at 7:00 pm. The band will perform in the Boerne Middle School Auditorium.

Here is a Christmas Card from my grandmother's collection. The date is illegible but I would guess it is from between 1910 and 1920. It was mailed from Nordheim, Texas.
